I expected a great deal of CGI, but its actually done really well in Warcraft. Whether its seeing an orc snatch the soul out of a helpless human, the blade of a sword being sliced, or blood being spilled, the effects do not disappoint. Its such a feat to behold visually, its a shame that the story sometimes has too much going on, and tries to have multiple plots going in a limited time frame. So I do hope that the blu ray release sees an extended cut or at the very least has some deleted scenes.
And normally, that would stop me from enjoying a movie; but frankly it didn't. Its not a perfect movie, but Warcraft is certainly an entertaining film; and Duncan Jones has in my opinion, succeeded here with his adaptation of the popular Blizzard Entertainment game.
A spectacular fantasy-action saga of power and sacrifice in which an unlikely set of heroes is set on a collision course to protect the fate of civilization.

I started to say okay and then homosexuality came into it. This could have been an interesting film, but it devolved into hatred and murder. Who was worse? The "girl" or the wine connoisseur? He got what he deserved because of killing his wife.
She might wind up getting the same from Vanessa because she was just using her and run off after the money is gone. Or she might just kill her or the other way around. We will never know. It was a waste of time, but could have been more.
Murder and robbery are in the air when a fine wine connoisseur finds himself tangled up with a rebellious young woman.

Classic throw back good campy horror fun with some hot babes... It's micro-horror at its best, so don't get all butt hurt if you don't recognize anyone but all that sweet babe action. It has fun with the genre and will seem familiar at parts.. surprising in others with the filmmakers take on the genre... Stay for the bikini girl on girl scene! Good fun
Like going back in time in a good way. The popular 80's slasher style is revived in this well executed killer film featuring gorgeous,sexy girls, fab cars, an exceptionally creepy and scary killer, loads of bloody kills all set against some breathtaking scenery for contrast. Camping movies never were so much fun.
A weekend camping trip turns into a fight for survival.

For the most part The Killing Joke movie followed the book pretty well. The film even kept some of the best quotes from the book. My personal favorite quote is “Sometimes I remember it one way, and sometimes another. If I’m to have a past I prefer multiple choice.” The power in this line demonstrates the uncertainty of the jokers origins. Perhaps, that’s what I find so intriguing about the Joker; his past is wrapped in a mystery.
On the other hand, I found the film’s beginning a little boring. The film opens up with a backstory about Bat-Girl where the comic jumps straight into the action. However, I see why the film makers felt like they needed this extra filler. Without it the film might had been too short. Once Bat-Girl’s backstory is out of the way we dive head first into the epic rivalry between Batman and the Joker.
Joker wages a psychological war on Batman and leaves scars on the Dark Knight that even time won't heal.

When I went to watch this movie it had no reviews. I was open to what it might be like based on the brief description so I watched it. When scrolling through Amazon a day later, I noticed it had been given one review. A 1 star! The film wasn't perfect but I'm glad I watched it. Had I seen the 1 star rating prior (being the only review it gave it an overall 1 star rating) I probably would not have watched it. Realizing how powerful reviews are, I decided to write my own... The main characters and actors who play them are quite lovable and dynamic.
The soundtrack is perfect. The camera effects and techniques seem original. Certain aspects of the film reminded me of my experiences traveling internationally, from befriending strangers, falling in love with Paris, reflecting on my own culture, and living in the moment. Definitely worth a watch if you have any interest in Paris, French culture or are a traveler!
Can two cultures come between young love? A Paris man from the upper class falls into a torrid affair with an American woman. Together, they face the future, the rules of society, and the changing ways of the world.

Blew me away! I enjoyed Blue Ruin and I loved the premise once I read about Green Room before it came out. But whenever I get my hopes up before I see a movie, I usually leave a little disappointed. Not in this case. Every single character is believable, the writing is excellent, and the choice of casting is perfect. The story is simple and it's essential a survival flick with a punk band squared off against a bunch of skin heads.
After witnessing a shocking crime, a young rock band is unexpectedly thrust into a life-or-death battle to escape the clutches of a diabolical club owner (Patrick Stewart) and his ruthless henchmen in this white-knuckle thriller .

A riveting revenge thriller where a driven man hunts down the Nazi who murdered his family in WWII.

Will I ever tire of Christopher Plummer? This time he is a man who suffers from senile dementia but he sets out to find the former Nazis who killed his family (and the family of another man in the same senior facility) at a long-ago concentration camp. The movie opens with him awakening and calling for his wife. Alarmed, he leaves his room and finds himself in some sort of quasi-medical facility. One of the women who works there has to tell him that his wife died two weeks earlier.
With a wonderfully unpredictable script by Benjamin August ("Class Rank") and cleverly directed by Atom Egoyan ("The Captive"), we are on a hero's journey that goes from gently humorous to white-knuckle tense. The people he encounters are consistently helpful and kind. The children in this one are particularly good: smart, polite and considerate.

The President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his Secret Service head (Gerard Butler) must stop a London terrorist attack at the British Prime Minister's funeral. Get ready for more non-stop slam-bang action in a real Star Bangled Banner action film, even if it is in London this time. Plenty of rockets red glare and bombs bursting in air.
This time our president has to go to London to attend a funeral along with many of the world's leaders. after the unexpected death of the British Prime Minister. Things go badly wrong, but fortunately, the president has brought along his favorite Secret Service agent Gerald Butler. I doubt the president will ever leave the White House again without him after these last 2 films.
But, Butler is there to save the day again, initially with help from the security detail and later from the British Special Air Services commandos and even the president steps up at one point.

The film begins in a rural small-town elementary school where a young rabbit named Judy Hopps (Della Saba) is in a presentation about what animals can aspire to when they grow up. Judy, we learn, wants to be a cop, to "help make the world a better place." And nothing, it seems, is going to dissuade her from that goal. Flash forward ten years and we see Judy (now voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) going through the police academy, overcoming all manner of challenges to eventually graduate with top marks. And off she goes, ready and eager, to the big city of Zootopia to join the ZPD (Zootopia Police Department) to make her mark in the world.

Witness the origin story of Wade Wilson, who adopts the alter ego Deadpool after a rogue experiment leaves him with accelerated healing powers...and a dark, twisted sense of humor.
It's about a ex-special forces soldier named Wade who is now an underworld mercenary. He finds a screwed-up girlfriend and they have lots of kinky sex. When he discovers he has cancer, he accepts a shady offer from a weirdo who says he can help.
The movie is set in the X-Men universe, and it's Wade's hidden mutant genes that trigger the changes that Wade both hopes and fears.
The movie is full of swearing and raunchy, smart-ass humor. And it's like a pop culture quiz show - almost every other thing Wade says is a reference to something else. There are some interesting meta-moments, like breaking the fourth wall inside of breaking the fourth wall. And Reynolds even refers to himself (the actor) as being successful in Hollywood because of his looks, not his acting skills.

so many people have grumped about that the 4th movie being just a "cash cow"... Read the books again. The book MOCKINGJAY was loaded: Peta's terrible tortured mind washing, Katniss' still great reluctance to be not just a symbol, but a leader in a long overdue revolution... And yet, THE HUNGER GAMES was a series of books about an incredibly Horrific upper class making kids kill each other for their entertainment.

The Originals enthralled me as a child; and the Prequels had a few redeeming features, but were a pale mockery of what made Star Wars great. And now a new trilogy. Would this be the return of Star Wars in all it's brilliance, humour, and emotional force (pardon the pun)? Or would commercialization, shoddy writing, and cheap fan-service strike again? Like you, I entered that cinema enthralled by that first trailer but with nagging doubts. Was JJ Abrams ready?
Could he recapture that Star Wars feeling? Could he make that galaxy far, far away come to roaring life again? The answer is for the most part...YES! The Force doesn't just Awaken. It gets out of bed, has a hearty breakfast, and proceeds to blend old and new seamlessly and deliver some rousing action and compelling characters, all with a heartfelt love of what made Star Wars great. If not truly great itself, Episode VII is still pretty damn good!
The Force Awakens ain't perfect by a long shot. It recycles too many elements from previous Star Wars movies (an eeeeeven BIGGER Death Star!) to ignore, the story takes detours, and the plot is nudged along by coincidence a few too many times. There are a few really questionable character traits that I can't discuss without spoilers. These flaws exist. But it's up to the viewer to let them define the film or overlook them and be entertained.

Mention the Christmas Story movie and people respond with their favourite classic scenes such as the BB Gun, bullies in the alley, frozen tongue, the lamp of a lady's fishnet stocking leg and many more. A Christmas Story is a 1983 film based on the short stories and semi-fictional anecdotes of author and raconteur Jean Shepherd, including material from his books In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash and Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories. It was directed by Bob Clark. A must have movie to watch every year and several times a year. It is chicken soup for the soul for the holidays.
The Blu-ray edition of A Christmas Story preserves much of the material from the 20th anniversary special edition in 1983, all with the lightheartedness and affection that the film deserves. There's a commentary track by director Bob Clark and actor Peter Billingsley, an 18-minute "Another Christmas Story" featuring interviews with Clark, Billingsley, Scott Schwartz, R.D. Robb, and Zack Ward (topics include their real-life Christmas lists, worst gifts ever, and leaving the real-life Flick stuck to the pole), the script of a cut scene, and featurettes on the the leg lamp and the Red Ryder BB gun. Picture and sound (Dolby 1.0) are adequate but nothing special.

Chloe Grace Moretz is a fantastic young star, and she will become this generation’s Julia Roberts, I’m positively sure of it. However, filmmakers need to stop casting her in mousy geek-girl parts. She was simply too pretty to play Stephen King’s Carrie last year, and she’s too pretty to play “If I Stay“‘s Mia. But, the girl can act!
"If I Stay" follows Mia, a young cellist who could very well be going to Julliard School of Music in the fall. Her parents (Mireille Enos and Joshua Leonard) are rockers from the old days who reluctantly grew up when they had Mia and her brother Teddy. Mia’s boyfriend of some time, musician Adam (Jamie Blackley) is bitter about how their lives going in different directions, without one another.
One fateful day, when Mia is expecting a potential acceptance letter from Julliard, a terrible car crash takes both of Mia’s parents, leaving Mia’s spirit seeing her worst nightmare unfold before her very eyes, unable to do anything about it, lying in a coma. Although, she may possess all the power - the nurse tells her, "you’re running the show, they’re all waiting on you."

After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don't have to just crack the case - they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship.
There's a running gag throughout Phil Lord and Chris Miller's hilarious 22 Jump Street that it's basically your typical sequel, ripping off the same old jokes and situations while just making things bigger. The more Meta the film gets the funnier it is, and the truth is that they aren't really lying. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are back as best buds and keystone coppers Jenko and Schmidt; they're busting up another student-run drug ring; and the same polarizing forces that broke the duo up the last time are again in effect. But you know what? You'll be laughing too damn hard to care that sometimes 22 Jump Street feels a little familiar, especially since that is kind of the point.

This is my perspective on The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Please stick with me to the end, and I'll try not to lose you. Let's begin. So...if The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was Peter Jackson giving the purists their dues with a relatively straightforward and book-faithful film, then THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG is Peter Jackson saying: "You've had your fun. Now stand back and watch what I can do."
And the ride he takes us on is absolutely exhilarating. SMAUG is darker, moodier, and more mature than any Middle Earth film we've seen thus far. Evil hangs over our heroes like a black pall (literally). Beset on all sides by revenge-seeking orcs, wargs, terrifying spiders, pale creepy-crawlies, double-crossing elves, treacherous humans, a growing Evil in a ruined Elvish citadel, and a huge, vain, fire-breathing dragon...both the heroes and the audience are plunged into a terrifyingly new world. And there's a lot of new stuff to feast your eyes on along the way.
