Theater review. In a flashback scene, Jackie Kennedy (Natalie Portman) is riding in the back of a hearse taking her assassinated husband’s body from the airport to the White House. She is accompanied by her brother-in-law, Bobby Kennedy (Peter Sarsgaard). They talk about funeral arrangements when surprisingly Jackie asks the driver if he knows who William McKinley was. He says no. She then asks the nurse accompanying the body if she knows who James Garfield was. She says no. Jackie Kennedy is determined that people will remember her husband’s short time as president and not be just some beautiful people as Bobby fears.

Natalie Portman stars in this powerfully stirring drama as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, whose faith and strength see her through the death of President John F. Kennedy.
