The bank in question happens the bank that is shortly to foreclose on their mother's farm unless the two brothers can come up with the money needed to pay back the reverse mortgage their mother (recently deceased) took out on the property. Toby, a divorced father of two boys, is grimly determined to pay off that mortgage because oil has recently been discovered on the land.
The rights to that oil can guarantee a future for his estranged sons, who will never have to experience the poverty and Toby and his brother had to grow up with.
