The Purge: Election Year 2016

The Purge: Election Year 2016
The Purge: Election Year is probably the most jaw dropping movie I've seen so far in 2016 and in turn is perhaps the best of the 3 Purge movies released so far. They really went all out with this film and James DeMonaco went to depths no could've dreamed of or prepared for. Some of the goriest and downright ruthless kills every witnessed in a Purge movie take place in Election Year.

They also throw teens into the mix as well! However, the mega-macho violence is not necessarily why I was impressed with and loved Election Year so much, but rather the plot. Rather than just make yet another Purge movie that deals with strangers fighting for survival, they widened the story by having it focus on the main character trying to put an end to the 12 hour reign of mayhem and slaughter

Leo (Frank Grillo) is back as Senator Charlie Roan’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) security during her presidential run. On Purge Night, they must survive the 12 hours of lawlessness.

Starring: Frank Grillo, Elizabeth Mitchell, Mykelti Williamson
Runtime: 1 hour, 49 minutes
