Into the Forest 2016

This is a very good adaption of an excellent book. I just finished the book before watching and with it so fresh in my mind, I know I am extra critical. Still, I thought they did a good job at bringing this very complicated tale to the screen. It is not the typical action pack story you often see in apocalyptic stories or a thriller. It is about how we learn to adapt and perceiver and how we love and the choices we make.

Some updates and changes were made, to make this story work in a two hour film, the ending is a little rushed but overall I thought they found the heart of this story and told it well. Good casting, great performances and beautifully filmed. I do highly recommend reading the book as well.
