Stealing Paradise 2016

Stealing Paradise 2016
I enjoyed this one. Yes, it was unrealistic & flawed in many places. But it was still fun to watch & I always love films where the underdog out smarts the bad guys. I immediately recognized Rachael Leigh Cook from the film "Get Carter" w/Stallone (the man). I think she's beautiful & has such sweet eyes. Anywho. I was impressed with all the twists, that really kept coming from the point of the murder until the end. And was entertained the whole way through.

Formulaic and trite, plus the computer-based "evidence" against the main character was unbelievably naive .... no backup of files to a password-protected site in the cloud in addition to using easily-stolen external drives. Also apparently no data-tracking security on the employer's computer system which would have identified the date and time when a file was uploaded, plus the source from which it wasdownloaded. All evidence which would have corroborated her claim immediately.

Amanda, a brilliant engineer, is enraged when her breakthrough design is stolen and patented by her colleague, Garrett. When he is found murdered, she becomes the prime suspect and must fight for her life.

Starring: Rachael Leigh Cook, Graham Abbey, Paula Jean Hixson
Runtime: 1 hour, 29 minutes
