So it was a challenge for screenwriter Robert Anderson to adapt his hit Broadway play about a sensitive prepschooler called "sister boy" by his peers, and the lovely housemaster's wife who realizes she must offer more than tea and sympathy to help the boy prove his manhood.

The frankness may be muted but the power remains in this stellar film. Under Vincente Minnelli's direction, Deborah Kerr and John Kerr reprise their Broadway roles as older woman and younger man in poignant performances that reveal the compassion and the torment of being human. Their stage costar Leif Erickson joins them in counterpoint as the emotionally clenched housemaster.

Secretariat begins in the late '60s, with some good behind-the-scenes material on how thoroughbreds come to be (there's flavorful atmosphere inside the horsey world, including an account of Secretariat's ownership being decided by a coin flip as part of an old-school agreement).

A highly lacquered Diane Lane plays Penny Chenery, the inheritor of her father's stables, who segues from being an all-American mom to running a major horse-racing franchise; reliable character-actor support comes in the form of John Malkovich, as a gaudily outfitted trainer, and Margo Martindale, as Chenery's assistant.

Rocketeer - Far East Movement

Rocketeer - Far East Movement. Like A G6 was everywhere for quite some time, and really brought Far East Movement into the mainstream. It doesn't seem to be just fifteen minutes of fame for these guys either, looking at how this song is taking off. While Like A G6 was rather a generic song, it was good for what it was, though not great. Rocketeer is the same way, although it is a better song than its predecessor in every way.
